Lead Compounds

Lead compounds are used in a range of industrial applications. For example, lead oxides are used as intermediates in the production of glass, ceramics, frits, and explosives, in smelting applications, in the production of lead-based batteries, in adsorbents, and as laboratory reagents.

Eleven lead compounds have been REACH Registered under the remit of the Pb REACH Consortium, nine of which have active registrations.
